Moisture measurement in concrete with microwave technology
Type 6 / Type 7
Measuring frequency: 300-500 MHz
Measuring range: All consistency ranges Output: 0-20 mA, 0-10 V DC
Power supply: 18-24 V DC
Probe size:
Type 6: diameter 105 mm, length 100 mm
Type 7: Diameter 90 mm, length 85 mm
Size probe holder:
Type 6: diameter 150 mm, height 35 mm
Type 7: Diameter 126 mm, height 30 mm
Properties of Bikotronic microwave probes for concrete:
- Extremely wear-resistant ceramic, 10 mm thick over the entire surface (6 mm for type 18)
- Suitable probes for all mixer types
- Absolute linearity that guarantees accurate measurements in very dry and very wet concrete
- The microwave probes were developed in co-operation with the Chair of High Frequency Technology at the Faculty of Engineering at Kiel University. The measuring accuracy of the microwave probes under laboratory conditions is better than 0.1%.
- The Bikotronic microwave probes use the high-frequency method to determine the moisture content in concrete. The dielectric constant of water is compared with that of the material. This measurement result is converted by the evaluation electronics and output as the moisture content.
